Birmingham Midshire. Selection criteria.

As well as the other thread that I have posted regarding our application with The Abbey I have been scrutinizing the BM website to assess how strict they are with their lending criteria. Does anyone have any experience of this particular company? x

Errr, their mainstream residential mortgages are very very expensive (7%+). The only area where they are competing for business at all just now is on Buy to Let.

    Hi

This is probably not relevant now but I had a mortgage with them, taken out in 2006. We had to "self certify" as I was on maternity leave and hubbys job was temporary (in name only). At that time we got a fixed rate two year than was around 1% higher than the high street lenders were offering. They did a credit check but didn't ask for anything else (apart from identity documents).
