Split with GF want to buy her out

My girlfriend and I split about 6 years ago and only now are we looking into me buying her out. We are still good friends so I suppose it is just a case of us both agreeing on an amount then going to the solicitor and getting her removed from the deeds ?
Am I correct... is there anything else I need to consider or any potential pitfalls ?
Would really appreciate any advice from someone who knows more than myself.
