I hit a dutch car yesterday and turns out because we didnt phone the insurance company before we went we only had third party so they will pay to fix his car but not ours:eek: damaged the front bumper think it might cost as much as £2K :eek::eek:

Mccoys gadget comp. i bought 6 packs of crisps today to find they all have the same code, lol.

evening all

what a day....... happy at first when received the real people letter ,
then driving car round for work i heard stuff fall off under it , then my exhaust making a racket , got it to kwik fit , to be told ,
the alternator belt had snapped :eek:,
which has damaged the cam belt :eek:
and even worse the whole of my exhaust needs replacing including cat ,
wait for it the cost
,, £20 for belt ,
( they dont do cam belts )
and £420 for the exhaust :eek::eek:,
now the car is not even worth that its only a old punto 97 reg , cant imagine how much more for the cam belt , well i got him to do the alternator belt and bought car home , and now thinking what the hell do i do , i need car for work , i have no spare cash , its a catch 22 situation

Get the yellow pages out and phone around all parts suppliers and garages and you will get the quote down on it. If you have a friend who can do the repairs for you then try and buy the parts.
