FE i am sure there is a doctor in every town you can contact if you are living there temp see if you can find out who they are through NHS Direct.

Flick - that's insane :mad:- surely a copy of your birth certificate should be enough - if you don't drive and don't go abroad you wouldn't have either of the other documents.....can you not get your doctor to write to them to confirm that you're English.

I know from trying to change signatories on the pta bank account that red tape's becoming a nightmare - I reckon it's so we're all FORCED to take out one of these identity cards. If they're that necessary you should be entitled to have it free (like the MPs that would probably claim for it on expenses.....:rotfl:)
