Great thanks Nicky - I've never been to the Lake District before, but I'd definitely go back. Some of the roads were a bit :eek: to drive on, but Buffy loved it - especially all the funny looking dogs behind fences (sheep ) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We went for the first time 3 or 4 years ago (bit of a drive for us lol) and stayed 1st night in Windermere and 2nd 2 nights in Coniston, didn't book anything just went and we loved it too and would definitely love to again if it wasn't such a trek. Glad you and Buffy enjoyed, lovely walks there, we walked right round one of the smaller lakes but I forget which one now  lol
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)

yayyy great well done, I am going to the Lakes next week !!! What roads are dangerous Cheeky, we are taking the train :eek: What lakes did you visit? I am going to Keswick (Spelling?)
Not dangerous - just a bit scary for someone used to town driving! We were staying in a cottage just outside Coniston (that's the lake in the piccy) also went to Windermere, Tarn Howes, & the dog loved Grizedale forest - bits of art dotted all through the 250 acres, and she thought one was a little dog house - she sat in it & didn't want to move! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope you have a nice time, & weather like we had - it was glorious!

Hello everyone. Hope all is well. We've had torrential rain here all day, the chimney has leaked and there is a big wet patch on the childrens bedroom wall. :(
