You need to make a sash. White or ivory?
Satin is your best option. Do you sew at all? If you do you will need about 1.5-2m of satin and cut it about 5-6" wide then fold in half (length ways) and stitch. Leave an opening of about 4 " at the middle so you can turn inside out. Press and oversew the opening..
Alternatively, you can buy wide ribbon of about 4" width.

this is a wired edge organza ribbon. You can manipulate the bow to keep it's shape with the wire edge.

TBH you can get wide ribbon from most markets, haberdashery stores.

Or, you could go for a basic organza sash used for chair decorations. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/White-Chair-Cover-Organza-Sash-Wedding-Banquet-New_W0QQitemZ360152587480QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Crafts_Fabric_Textiles_SM?hash=item360152587480&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1686%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

It needs to be quite wide, but for achieving something a bit extra, add an extra few meters and wrap around the waist a few times for a kind of "cumberband" effect. Will look super!
3m should be perfect from the e bay link!!0
