Just as he launches an F1 Credit Card.....
The diminutive Billionaire owner of Formula 1 suggests the following:-

That's just dandy then......just out of curiosity Bernie, how much is a pint of milk and a loaf of bread these days?

So how come "Formula One is heading for a showdown over the FIA’s plans to introduce a “budget cap” class in 2010."?
Given how much Bernie loves how exclusive and expensive F1 is, he wouldn't be considering budget F1 unless he was concerned about the future."I'm not even supposed to be here today."0 -

Budget F1?
I love it, images of the cars with the blue stripe and red lettering of the Tesco Value range whipping round (at 30mph to save petrol...:rotfl::rotfl:)0 -
"We're coming to the end of the credit crunch"
Yup - there maybe some substance in that - beginning of the end of the credit crunch but the beginning of the economic crisis that all this cheap and easy money has masked for the last decade.0 -
Bernie is right to be worried. Honda's already pulled out, he can see what's happening in other series such as the loss of Subaru from rallying. Its harder to get sponsorship, which is why the newly front-of-grid Brawn isn't covered in logos. The sport's master munchkin has a habit of talking the sport up so he would call an end to the credit crunch.
Ferrari can talk a good game, but withdraw from F1? Can't see it happening. Where else will they go? Parallel series? With whom in the current financial climate? Pains me to ask these questions as a big fan of Ferrari.
Ferrari may want to chuck a lot of money at the sport but what they really need is a good strategist, they've been making silly mistakes since the loss of Brawn and that's not a finance thing, that's a lack of strategic thought thing.
Besides, Ferrari won't be able to afford the extras if parent Fiat needs to sink loads of money into GM or Chrysler. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? "And what first attracted you to the billionaire Bernie Ecclescake?"0

I think he must mean the first stage is coming to an end, the second stage starts at the end of the year going into 2010 with the next wave of US bank failures, lasting through until mid 2011............ I'm sure that's what he meant.0
