I wanna Tankini that holds it all in!

Hi all,

I am assuming the shops are starting to have summer clothes in, they normally do around Easter time.

I rarely get a chance to go into town, with a typical toddler, I don't like to put myself through the agony!

Has anyone seen anywhere selling tankinis (bikinis with the midrift covered for those who aren't sure what I am talking about!)

I am post c-section so I don't like to show my belly to the world, and I find tankinis are more flattering than a swimming costume.

The problem I have is I have a gorgeous tankini it is great if you stay still, but all the bending with a little one and I find it leaves you a bit exposed, has anyone seen any with inbuilt supports?

Thanks

Hi Counting-Pennies - they have some swimstuff in Boots - not sure of their "hold it in" rating (I have the same probs as you, but it's too cold to think about swim stuff at the moment so haven't looked closely!!)

BHS also have some. Selection in our M&S not too great - don't know if that's the full range.

I picked up the new Additions Direct catalogue and they have some nice Tankini's, this one looks quite good Cat No FJ9093, you can get the bottoms in shorts which would hold you in, I'm thinking of ordering this one myself.
Have a look at their website.

i always buy them because swimming costume are never long enough and bikinis i feel a bit like mutton dressed as lamb now i'm in my mid to late thirties! ive had tankinis them from bhs, next,m&s,asda and matalan they are all as good as each other i just go off the price and colour at the time when i buy them! be careful at tesco though cos apparentely you cant try on swimwear at home and in my experience a size at one shop isnt the same as a size at another so you need to try top on for length! good luck!

Tesco and Asda both do some fantastic mix and match swimsuits and tankinis, you can buy them with different bottoms ie: shorts, bikinis with a turn over top which you can have as high or low as you desire....... they are great some of them come with thongs too........ whatever takes your fancy and all with a great tankini top part.. I also wear the tops with skirts, shorts and pedal pushers in the summer , saves having a bra and a strappy top just bung on the tankini top with built in support TANFASTIC LOL
