Tips for eyeliner?

The only wisdom I can provide for you is that you can get away with black, but your best friend is probably brown (you never mentioned your eye colour). I wouldn't go for grey at all unless you have very blue eyes.

To help put your eyeliner on your top lid, draw a dot in the middle of your lash line close to how thick you want the line to be and draw from the dot to your outer eye, then from the dot to your inner eye.

i have dark brown eyes and when i can i usually wear brown eye liner. i used to wear black in my youth am 45 now but am convinced they made my eyes look smaller, even though i did buy a estee lauder one the other day as an impulse buy

Have a look at this youtube users videos, she has dozens of step-by-step make up tutorials and if you message her and ask nicely I'm sure she'd give some advice. I've been watching these for about 2 months and it really is useful.
