Hi we are looking at getting married in March 2010, we live near selby, we aren't looking to spend a fortune and so we need to find a nice, reasonably priced venue inbetween York and Castleford. We need it here because we are getting married at skipwith church and dont want to have to travel too far from church to reception and my family live in york and my partners family live in castleford.we are looking to spend £2000-£3000 for our reception, inc venue, evening buffett/meal etc any advice??

Hi laura. The best advise I can give is find some venues in the area and contact them with your budget.
I did this and was really surprised that all the venues I contacted were very honest with me! A few said they couldn't do my budget at all and others said no problem.
I actually emailed the venues I liked with the date and exactly what I wanted included in the price.
Hope this is helpfulCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
