    It's the cooking process that will kill off any of the bugs that are present on the raw mince :) Unless you're going to eat it as steak tartare?!

    I was thinking of the bugs on op's finger more than the mince ;)

    haha! my finger was washed very well! But thank you for the concern

    The mince was put out last night just before bed to defrost, and fried to brown this morning, then straight in hot stock and tomatoes for the bolognase.

    Just got home from work and uni and smells delicious, so I'll let you all know tomorrow if I'm still alive!
