Kelda, thanks for the message on FB. I am meeting with a friend tomorrow, Sarah Parrot, who is an event planner. Although she is based in Leeds, she covers Dumfries area including Glasgow. I know she's posted a few alteration contacts on the FB group but I'll pick her brains for dressmakers ok.

Having had a quick look at what Sarah left on FB, she has recommended these people. http://www.cmbridaldesigns.com/ Now, I don't know if she knows these from experience but it may be worth having a look and then I can pick her brains further tomorrow. I've had a look at their web site and it's quite impressive. Why not give them a call and get a "feel" of how they work and what they can do for you.
