Good to get the free player or DVD, but I personally would not recommend Tesco DVD Rental after the initial free trial period. Very bad customer service, DVD series sent in wrong order, wrong DVDs sent, DVDs disappearing off list, don't answer emails etc etc. Was not happy. BTW don't be fooled by the offer at the end of the free trial period if you want to cancel. They offer another 2 weeks free, but that means you have to pay for 2 weeks as well.

I've given it a go, will see what they are like in the free 14 day period.

Having said that, the Christmas post probably limits the number of films you can get

Has anyone who has signed up been notified that they have got one of the free dvd players? or does anyone know how you find out?

    Just got an email:

Thank you for your interest in our service. According to our records a
free trial account has recently been used at your address, through another
service powered by Video Island Entertainment Ltd. According to our terms
and conditions only one free trial is allowed per household so we cannot
authorise a second free trial at this time.

We can allow a second account if it is paid for immediately. Please let
us know how you wish to proceed if we do not hear from you within 3 days
we will not proceed with your second application.

Blast! Guess that counts me out, then. :'(
