can anyone tell me if these codes will work i tried to order something but it said something on the lines of all promotional codes would be checked to see if the person using them is the person suppose to be using them

No, there is the risk that the codes will not be honoured by Lx Direct unless they were sent to you personally. The majority of codes are personal ones which is one of the reasons that Lx Direct codes cannot be posted directly on this site anymore.

They now check them on the order page and let you know if it can be used or not

I'm really annoyed with LX Direct. I used 2 codes on 2 separate orders which the system accepted and I printed off the onscreen totals page which clearly showed the discount code and how much it was for. However when they charged my switch card they charged me the full amount for both. I emailed them 8 times and got no answer and phoned twice and each time I was told someone will call me back and they haven't so my account still shows the full amount so be careful.

Be careful what codes you use, I recently bought a tumble drier using a code and they would not honor it. I was really annoyed coz I could have got it cheaper else where and I had a major nightmare with them delivering it. I will never be using them again.

I've always found if I put in a code that is not acceptable it will come up with ..............please phone' . If it is acceptable it will show when you go through checkout. I don't know if it's the same if you have an account with them since I always pay by card. They have always taken the full price and then refunded the discount at the same time. So far I have ordered 5 times and each time have used a discount code. The first thing I ordered was sent back and the full price was refunded so I gained the £15 discount.

with lx ive heard alot of people saying they charge you the full amount and then refund you afterwards
