Feeling as sick as a pig today

You know I made that incorrect payment to my ex-employer and I felt so confident that I would get it back ?

Well the receiver phoned me up on Tuesday and said that he couldn't see the payment going in and needed to know the details of the account that the payment was made to - which I duely gave him.

Anyway didn't want to hassle the poor bloke so I waited until today and he's told me that he's written to the bank asking them to check to see if the payment went into the account and he's also written to my ex-employer asking him to confiirm that I didn't owe him any money.

As we all know banks are really quick off the mark in replying (not!) and I know my ex-boss is not the most prolific writer (especially when there's no gain for him!) I have a horrible feeling that I've lost this money for good.

In addition to that Natwest are playing silly so-and-sos as far as giving me the info I need to reclaim £2300 worth of charges; even though the cheque has been cashed they are denying all knowledge of receiving it.

And as if that wasn't enough, the people who are comong to collect a relatives car from us are being so bl@@dy awkward - its a wonder soemtimes that this country hasn't ground to a halt with all the jobsworths out there.

  • Hi,

Sorry to hear its not going so well for you - I am thinking of you and hopefully you'll get some good news soon.

Why not go and have a nice bath or paint your nails to help you feel a bit better?

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

in a bit of self pity.

I don't normally get down - even when I worked out how much we owed I didn't feel this down.

I suppose the way to look at it is that ok I might not be having the money returned to me straight away but I can't see any reason why I won't get it back eventually - even if I have to spill a few beans about the goings on to get it back, lol!

As far as Natwest is concerned, I've decided I'm giving them until next wednesday and if they haven't given me the info I'm going to sue them using my figures......and if its more than the actually figure I've been charged then that's their look out!

And finally if the car collectors are going to get shirty, then I can be equally shirty.......
