Just managed to reserve one, not at my nearest store but not too far away. I found that if you get an 'out of stock' message at the local store, then use the 'search for stock' facility, when it finds a store with stock, it tries to charge the higher price!

What you have to do is once you've found the store with stock, then start again going straight to that store, and not use the 'search for stock'.

But does it matter what price it says on the Reservation Acknowledgement - cos it also says "the price you pay is the price in store on the day you collect"?

Could you just not wait until boxing day, take it back without the receipt, and say its an unwanted gift?

Well, I tried to return but then found out that there's †† beside both order. If you read the small print, it mean that the item are sold as a package and can only be return as a package. Therefore, can't just return the printer. Under the 16 Day money back, you have to have the receipt when returning any item.  :(

The printer is still quite good, it is the cost of the photo paper and ink that are very expensive. Either sell it in ebay or give it away.

Have managed to r & r 2 for tomorrow so hopefully will get somebody to pick one of them up. One is 90 miles away and the other is about 200. Just typing in lots of places (not just Scotland where I am) and 5 minutes ago they had one in Southampton - West Quay I think they called it. If anyone wants one there give it a try now. Hope this helps someone. The price should be ok as it is advertised at £99.98 on the main Argos page.

Please note alot of the shops in the north have got them in stock again ie Middlesbrough, Redcar and Sunderland.
I thought i had missed out AGAIN but thought i`d give it a last try glad i did

Just reserved one at the Goole store,went back to try again and it worked (didnt reserve the 2nd one though) so Goole still has stock
But dont forget this price promotion ends tomorrow 18/12/04
