Car washing is pretty lucrative, especially if you are giving a percentage to a charity. A website would be useful for transparency (proving to people their money has gone where you said it would). You could post leaflets on a Friday evening, introducing yourself, that you will be washing cars for a tip/set fee and that you will be there on Sunday afternoon. I think a charity/green angle would boost sales. Also, trying to let people know you're not a tracksuit wearing oik who'll rub a greasy rag over their car and extort money. Bit of a bad example, but you could mention that you're a member of the chess club.
As with anything now, you need to worry about the legal side of things. If somebody insists you scratched their car, you could be in hot water. Liability insurance would be good, just in case, but with your age and likely cost it's probably not an option. Taking money for charity probably requires a licence, too. I'm probably being a bit cynical, and got away with these things when I was your age, but you never know. Claims direct and suing culture wasn't mainstream back then.0 -
It's the other way round; when I joined eBay was avaliable to any age, as long as a parent was linked to it.Sorry sam, guarantee you that you legally werent supposed to (otherwise they'd be breaking UK law), they just made it dead easy to do so
- the issue isn't with the PayPal account (you can have one of those from whenever) but the actual eBay account which allows you to bid
PayPal has always been 18.
edit: Looks like you can get a student account now. I don't think it allows the webmaster features, so I'd never be able to use it.0 -
