How long it takes to be paid emergency tax

Hiya
Started new job 8 weeks ago received p45 from last employer reached my new payroll department too late for this payrun. since they have now received my p45 should i get the money i have paid in emergency tax back in my next wage? this is what happened in my last job. thanks!

    No, you should not be on emergency tax since 6 April as this is the start of the new tax year.
    You may be due a repayment for the last tax year and your tax office will need to deal with that. Send them your P60 with a covering letter explaining what your jobs were for the whole tax year.
