cheapest place to get a rug???

  • I bought a large rug from Aldi for £29.99 a few months ago. They do tend to have things back in every few months so worth keeping an eye out for them at that price even if you keep it for a spare.

    I get them from Ikea, at the moment I have a brown and beige one that was a tenner not my first choice of colours but it's non slip, washes brilliantly and the dog hairs don't weave themselves into it.

    You do have to be careful in Ikea though, some of their rugs are ridiculously expensive, so check and double check the label to make sure you've picked up the one you thought you had!
    When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.

    My tuppeny worth - I don't use rugs but I have bought some for my mother from Littlewoods Group websites and they have been reasonably priced and hard wearing and look more expensive than they are.

    I second Dunelm mill. I bought from there a rug at £110. The exact same rug (same label on the back and everything) was in a House of Fraser store in Manchester with a £1250 price tag on it. Couldn't believe it!

    matalan have a nice sized thick cream rug, only £40. We bought one last year and might go back for another.

    argos fluffy £26 (??) ones are really gorgeous looking but fluff comes off ..but still worth it, I got the choclate one and getting the cream one for the bedroom...
