Does anybody know how to cancel this subscription, please?

I got a letter with mine today - IT WAS AN INVOICE FOR £85!

I don't want to pay and it's definately NOT A FREEBIE. We are being conned and misled by this paper trying to give us a 4 week trial. I've only had two papers and I get a bill!

This sounds like the paper is being run by an MP!

Cancelling tomorrow.

I'm mid way through this trial and no problems so far. It is always there ready for my for me when I get up, in perfect quality

I received a letter from them today thanking me for taking out a trial subscription. It says this should have strated on 23 May (today) it says if for any reason I am not receiving my paper call their subscriber CS Dept on 0800 895 965 (toll free).

"As stated in our original offer, we invite you to continue your subscription at a very special introductory price. All you need to do is to fill in the enclosed form and return it with your payment before 16 June".

"p.s. If you do not wish to continue receiving the IHT please mark "cancel" on the invoice and return it to us immediately. However, we would appreciate your comments on our paper. Please use the space provided on the revers side of the invoice".

So I wouldn't worry as the freefone number is valud and it seems quite easy to cancel the subscription especially as they don't have any of your bank details.

However, haven't had my first edition yet so can't comment on the paper, LOL.

I printed out the page with the free offer on, then printed the page confirming my free trial. If they send invoice can just send copies of offer & confirmation of free trial.

max - you can go back to the offer and print out the free trial page if you need to send them correspondence.

They must get hundreds of replies & glitches are bound to occur - so don't worry - as kb says, just looks like an error. Hope all proceeds hassel free for you - keep us posted!!!!

.... plus Bloaty's good advice - seems easy to cancel and they don't have any bank details from you.

Hi all, since sending off this have so far received 7 or so issues of this paper - no demands for payments, no missed issues & have found all issues really, genuinally interesting.

Like Tim says/implicates - arrives by separate delivery & earlier than normal post (seems to be by their own delivery van) - & each issue includes paper & sheet re: delivery & where to leave with free phone no's etc if need to change details & leave with friends etc.

Have enjoyed receiving/reading & has been great service.

Ive had my bill for £85 yesterday. Like hell they are getting it.
