Oh joy, can't wait to spend more on fuel and beer0

Noticed that Gordon has dumped his un-PC Jaguar company car and gone with a Toyota Prius (electric hybrid thing). Obviously a lame attempt to prove his "green" credentials so lets expect a bashing for motorists.0

Going to be interesting for those of us who are trying to help the environment by using LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas). Tax was frozen for several years as the government tried to get people to switch, however it's taxation is due for review in the March 2006 budget.0

I wonder how much more he'll stick on a packet of 20 fags.

well for any one who drives to work, gets to work, smokes a cigarette out in the cold , drives home and then goes down the pub, expect nothing short of having your pants taken down and given a good hiding.
those who dont bother working however can expect more free stuff.what is the plural of moose?

I think we'll get the usual from GB (must be a H there somewhere surely).
The headline grabbers like beer, fags and petrol will all have very small increases or freezes on them. This keeps the common man happy and the newspaper little to talk about.
Then, the real sneeky stuff is ignored like the raid on your pension fund, corporation tax hikes that lead to job losses and freezing duties such as inheritence tax so it doesn't go up but add in inflation and in real terms you are. GB will also do things like change rules and regulations which have no value attached to them at all but have a real monetary effect on people like he did with pensions when he first came to office and lifting the ceiling on NI payments (before once you hit a maximum salary you paid out the same, now it keeps on going up as your salary goes up). What about company car tax, every one shifted to diesel as it was cleaner than petrol, then GB decides that he'll measure vehicles by particulates discharged (unique to diesels) so no big difference to most folk, but as a comoany car means he can tax you more!!!!.
The common man doesn;t understand all this technical stuff and the impact it will have on his common day-to-day existence....until it is too late.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0
