My 15 year old son is off camping and needs a pillow for his sleeping bag.
I know it sounds funny but i don't have a clue where to get one or what type he needs, so a big thank you for any help received.

In IKEA they sell a pillow rolled up in a vacuum
pack its light, and slim to be able to tuck into a
bag.If he is going to a pitch and staying all week
I would go for somthing like that and pack a
pillowcase in his bag. They only cost a couple of
quid,he can either bring it home or drop it off
at a local charity shop before he returns.
Bet loads will turn up with just a regular pillow
tucked under their arms.:j:j:j0 -
My sleeping bag comes in a draw string bag .
I pull the sleeping bag outthen stuff the bag with tomorrows clean underwear
Use the bag for the pillow .
Of course that wot you do if you are hiking and have to watch your weight,
Of course if he going by car/ coach different rules apply :rotfl:0 -
you can get inflatable ones but they are pretty rubbish. I used one when interrailing but would stack my towel and clothes on top to make it a bit better.Wiggly:heartpulsFB0

Inflatables are availalble in pound shops- or if you're lucky you can get one in Asda for about 50p.
He may well be better off with a folded fleece/towel/hoodie etc. though.Only dead fish go with the flow...0 -
Either a normal pillow, or one of the "cushtie" types, as they squish into small spaces whilst being very comfortable! Otherwise, sleeping on hoodies/t-shirts tends to be what happens :P0

I use a real pillow but a very cheap one. It doesn't matter if it gets muddy then. Just roll it up and put it in a drawstring bag.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

I've got a sleeping bag with a built in pillow. It's similar to this one, but mine is just plain blue. I bought it years ago in a shop in Brighton. Both my kids used it for camping trips at school.

I agree with the rolled up clothes - but use today's old T shirt etc, boys don't really care if it's a bit whiffy, do they?:pMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

You get a reasonable inflatable pillow in Poundland. Fine if you don't blow it up to hard. Stick sn old pillowcase over it to make it less sweaty.
Otherwise, in my day, it was rolled-up jumpers, rucsacs etc.
Argos also do a decent self-inflating camping mat with an OK built-in pillow. Better than a foam roll, without the weight or fuss of an airbed. Was about £15-16 when I got mine.0
