thick gloopy nail varnish

Options
Hi

One of my bottles of nail varnish has gone all thick and gloopy making it hard to use. Is there anything I can do to thin the varnish out?

Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

you could add a few drops of nail varnish remover and initially shake well. or put in a bowl of hot water
for later and other polishes rather than shake the bottle - roll it between your hands. if you add too much the contents separate and become too thin.

I used to use a few drops of something called amyl acetate (smelled like pear drops)

OPI do a special thinner, I got mine from Sally Salon for about £8. Its quite pricey but you do get a big bottle and you only need to add one or two drops to the bottle of varnish.

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

I put nail varnish remover in an expensive Sally Hansen nail protector varnish stuff I was using as didn't want to waste a thrid of it after it went gloopy. It worked like a treat initially but then a few days later I noticed the clear varnish had gone a bit milky - looked as though the brush stem was being dissolved!

put it in a small bowl of hot water before applying - cheaper than special thinners - somthing my gran taught me - she always wore nail varnishd (and never wasted a drop) well before thiners became available - she had bottles that were donkeys years old!!!
