Avon / income support question

Hi peeps,
I have a question that I'm hoping someone will be able to answer for me!
I am currently in receipt of Income Support as a single parent with two small children. I am also working as an Avon Rep, which i have declared right from the start (beginning to wish I hadn't but too late now lol).
Anyhoo, On ly last campaign (3 weekly) I earned just under 80 pounds. I had to buy my books and order forms out of these earnings. I know that you're allowed to earn 20 pounds per week before it affects your benefit level. I have taken my invoice for Campaign 7 to the Jobcentre today for it to be faxed to head office. What I am wondering is whether the cost of my books and order forms will be taken into account when working out how much benefit will be taken from me. I spent £ 15 on books and order forms on Campaign 7; these are essential to my business (I can't sell the products without the books obviously)and I'm wondering if this will be taken off the 20 pounds I "earned" extra?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated; the woman I saw in the Jobcentre didn't have a clue!
xx

I would think the expenses should be taken off your income to give your profit figure. Have you told your advisor about this, I would think she would need to send both sets of information off. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Thanks for your reply, yes i gave her all of the information on my expenses. It's a total pain really; even the Jobcentre Advisor was amazed that I'd bothered to declare it in the first place lol x0
