Just when I think i'm out....they pull me back in

At one point I was in a total of about 4 grand debt through credit cards and overdrafts.
I sorted myself out, sold my car to buy a cheaper model, and cut down on everything (going out, DVD's, cd's, eating out) etc etc, in attempt to get my debt down.
For a while I was paying back 600 quid a month to my credit cards. I got them moved over to interest free ones, and I could see it gradually dropping. 4000...3400....3000....2500...2100, I figured that I could be out of debt within 6 months.
Then last week I resigned from my job (they basically offered me a choice of the sack, or I could quit on the spot). It was ok, i'm a fairly bright lad, and work in The City is pretty easy to come by. I left on the Wednesday, and was back working by the Friday, temping, for more money. Not the end of the world by any means.
Anyway, I got a call from my training school (i'm doing nightschool to take my accounting exams), and my old company has pulled out of all my examination fees.
Now I have to pay 900 pound over the next three months to pay for the tuition, plus 100 for the exams, and 78 for my yearly membership.
I know the company are well within their rights to do this, but I guess i've always taken the exam fees for granted, and now it's really stung me at a time when I could begin to see an end to the minus sign next to my bank balance.
I don't know what my whole point is of this. But i'm just glum.....so glum in fact, i spent all my 2 pound coins (i had a tenner in the savers club) last night on a KFC bargain bucket
Oh Lord.....will I ever see the light at the end of this debt riddled tunnel :shakesfist:

Aww never mind though!
At least you will be spending the money on something profoundly useful. Its not the end of the world and you are clearly someone whos a fighter!
Was the KFC nice? *dreams of the Colonels seasoning* havent had one of those in a while
EDIT just to say, i hope you dont think im being flippant there, but professional qualications are about the best thing IMHO to spend money on yourself. Actually if you put self funded on your CV you look exrtra motivated! :money::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Thank you. I guess I know it will be worth it in the end, but it's just a pain paying for them

You know, as I took my first bite of the chicken, and felt the wonderful taste of the Colonels secret blend of herbs and spices, all my troubles went away. But when the last bone hit the bottom of the box, they were back, in all their woeful glory......Starting Debt (Feb 06)
