  • Hi Apples

Try contacting Energywatch. When I had problems with British Gas as soon as they were involved the problem was sorted.

It would be best to try to put away an amount every month towards amount which will be due.I know you are not disputing liability but you will be hit with a very large bill at some point

I too haven't had a lot of luck with Scottish Power! Not as serious as your situation because at least I'm not gonna get a huge bill but have been trying since October to get a change of the names of 2 tenants recorded. Many phone calls, letters, letters sent recorded delivery etc later and no joy!

I would try energywatch, you need someone to speak up for you. Maybe I should too although my prob is not so serious.

    Best of luck :)

If you know your MPAN numbers you can contact EDF (I believe, formally known as 24/7) who will tell you who your electric supplier is and Transco who will tell you who your gas supplier is.

If you don't have your MPAN numbers, you may be able to find out from your meter serial numbers (ask them to look them up in the Flex system). Hopefully they will have recorded the Opening Reads on both meters and be able to make a match for you. HTH
