2nd hand rug smells of dogs - any ideas??

    If you are not successfull this time, can you wait until we get some really hot sunshine (yeah, yeah, I know 'if not when') then if you give it a good wash in the garden, you would be able to leave it out for a couple of days.

    I did this with a couple of wool handmade rugs but they were only hearth size and so could wash them one at a time in the machine. Came up brilliantly but did take two days to dry.

    1. It wasn't a stain, it was a smell all over a noodle/spaghetti style rug.

    2. It was 9 years ago.
