I just wondered whether The Good News Bible was available online. If not, I'll just have to go and get a hard copy. Thanks for any information.

Hi Smiley Mum,

Hello Smiley Mum
Haven't seen an online version of the Good News Bible but you can get the World English Bible fairly easily. It's copyright-free and downloadable from:
http://worldenglishbible.org/
And other places, including:
http://eBible.org/web/, http://webible.org, or http://WorldEnglishBible.org. The World English Bible: Messianic Edition, also known as the Hebrew Names Version, is available at http://eBible.org/hnv/, http://hnvbible.org, or http://WorldEnglishBible.org/webme/. Pointers to where to buy paper copies are at http://eBible.org/buy.htm.
I've also found that biblegateway.com and gospelcom.net are also good sites for doing keyword searches (although they don't use the Good News Bible).
Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone for your replies, much appreciated. Been going to church for a few months now and it'd be nice to have my own copy of The Good News Bible. The church website posts up the scripture readings etc so I can check them out before we actually attend. Thanks very much for all the information, much appreciated. :-)“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. Where do you live? If you are anywhere near me (Barnsley/sheffield) I have a copy that you can have. PM if any good.
Thanks

Smiley-Mum - does the church not have a spare copy they will give to you? Most churches in my experience will provide a free Bible for new believers/attenders, although I've always stuck with the NIV myself.
Hope you're getting a lot out of it and contributing tooWhich denomination is it, if you don't mind me asking?
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0
