PPI- got a letter back today from the complaints team

Hi
I wrote a letter a couple of days ago regarding a PPI I had been sold 2 years ago with a personal loan from the AA.
I have got a prompt reply back saying they are sorry to hear of my dissatisfaction and that my complaint has been passed to their specialist team responsible for investigating any complaints arising from their insurance sales process.
Do you think this sounds promising?

I basically said that I felt i had been pressured in to purchasing this insurance as a condition of the loan but now realise i dont need it and did not have to buy it in the first place!!! The amount of the PPI was £576.

Sounds like a letter that confirms receipt of yours. Did you give them a time limit in your letter?

the aa insurance fall within the FSA guidelines for complaint handling. They have to acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days, issue a holding letter at 20 working days and at 40 working days issue a letter stating that as they have not resolved the complaint, you can go to the Financial Ombudsman Service. It sounds like you have just received the ack letter at the moment.....
