You could fly to the Channel Islands - picturesque, nice beaches and things to do.

It is somewhere I've never been, but would like to. Have been told it has become expensive?

All these ideas, need to sort my pennies! ;)

I went to Jersey for 5 days last year, it is relatively expensive, not too bad though, especially when you compare it with european destinations now the £ is so weak.

Great place if you can pick up some cheap flights then I would do it over pretty much anywhere on the mainland.

Italy. Easy to use trains once you get there. Plenty of coastal places. Only downside the Euro and that's maybe looking up a little.

Or Dubrovnik, Croatia. Do they fly there?

Does it have to be the seaside? If you wanted some sun there are special offers on atm with Royal Air Maroc; £80 return for Marrakesh (yes, I know you've been to Marrakesh and back for 1/2 pence return before, but I thought this was still a good price!:p )

Good price for RAK, but I want to go from EMA or BHX ... I've been banned from using public transport due to my love of boiled eggs ... they've said next time to bring pork pies instead ... but I hear Tesco have sold out.

(Apologies to anyone that thinks I am talking nonsense, Incapuppy will understand! :p )
