Infused Oils?

Im trying to make some garlic infused oils to save time on cooking. What oil do I use. I normally use olive oil and extra virgin olive oil for cooking with. Can I do one of either? :confused:or are there any specific ones that are best?

Thanks :T

I use olive oil to make garlic, chilli, mushroom or herb oils.

THIS LINK gives clear instructions on how best to do it.

you need to be cautious about not making too much garlic oil at once and always store it in the fridge as if you keep it too long or at room temperature it can cause botulism

was going to say the same, the shop bought ones are treated to avoid botulism .
