No munchies challenge

Hi

At the beginning of this month I decided to start a new challenge for myself in a bid to save money to put towards debt and to lose some extra lb off my spare tyre.

All I have done is put the amount of money I was tempted to spend that day on choccy bars, crisps and any other munchies in a jar instead. To my amazement after just 6 days I have accumilated £10 :D and lost 2lb! :)

Anyone care to join me?

Thanks

Heddwen

How about starting an additional weekly pot as a £1 for lb challenge?

I decided today that I will put £1 coin for every 1lb in weight I lose each week giving an extra goal. But instead of using this pot to repay my debts I will use it to treat myself to something else once a month (or fortnight if you cant hold out) for staying away from the munchies.

    Ill give it a go.

Ooh, can I join, please? I set myself the same challenge (starting 15 April) and it is sheer bldy torture, so having to be accountable to others as well as myself will (please, please, please) be motivating. I am putting €1 (I'm not in the UK) every day that I don't succumb to buying a chocolate bar. So far, I have added a euro every day. Unfortunately this doesn't mean that I have stopped eating chocolate as I do some part-time work in a shop and have even resorted to liberating out of date chocolate biscuits from the bin:o, but I am at least not spending money. And if anyone offers me chocolate I snatch it from their fingers before they can finish the invite - there is not no way I can not accept a freebie. Maybe in time ...

I have, however, managed to resist the temptation to steal the choccie and am now running out of alternatives, so I am hoping that I will reap some rewards by losing some of the bulk I am carrying around. I don't have any scales, so can't do the £1 for a lb bit, but it's a good idea.

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

Scales? Um, nope, don't think there are any in the whole of the country.
