You can't get more personal than designing and printing your own label. You can stick your friends pic on and anything else your desire.Glue or get some avery sticky labels.Could also do some minatures for some of the guests to take away if you have a meal or a party.don't forget to put the date and year on for mommentos.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

If your friend likes Whiksy, then please avoid at all cost buying a poorly conditioned cheap malt or blended whiksy from a "Gifts" place with a personalised label stuck on it.
I would suggest finding out what sort of whisky he/she likes and starting with a bottle they'll appreciate. A lot of the smaller distilleries are very friendly and will often go that extra mile to send you a bottle of something special. Or specialist bottlers / retailers can get you something rarer than supermarket whiskies and can often personalise it in to a gift.
As a start the following place sells good malt whiskies and offer personalised labels on a select few:

However if you want some specific advise, post what whiksy they like / typically drink, what sort of budget you have, and someone will be able to point you in the direction of a suitable supplier.
