Discount Crdit v Cash

I have been told it is "illegal" for a supplier to supply goods and services at a discount for cash rather than if i purchased via credit agreement (supplied by himsef/company) (and visa versa) is this true.... - i ask for a discount for cash rather than use their loan agreement and he said he could not do that ? Thanks

Not illegal, but quite often the retailer will get commission from the loan company if you go that route. Therefore they can often make more profit out of a credit sale rather than a cash sale.

So no discount for cash, but not because it is illegal.
