On a  note my DD2 has her prom shortly and she wants a dress from america. Its a pageant dress and in my opinion bloody awful.....cost is £125 - when I objected she told me her friends was costing her £195. :eek:Maybe thats why they have just had to downsize to a smaller house then.....

I hate this prom idea....whatever happened to the end of year disco...I blame TV and America for this stupidity....

Sammy, what size is she and how tall. I have a few long and short dresses from having to go to balls in the Mess. Maybe she could have a look at them and if she liked any of them she could borrow it. You would only need to give it a quick dry clean and it would be tip top

Good morning everyone, sorry had to shoot off yesterday afternoon, Mr Scorgy collapsed at work, so had to go get him

Not a problem, that's what "friends" are for ;) My dresses are an 8-10 and I am 5' 2", so if anything goes really wrong with the "vile" dress, my offer is still on the table x

Each to their own I suppose. Don't forget we're a lot older than her.

It's not too bad Sammy, I was expecting a lot worse from what you were saying, which colour has she gone for?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

It's not vile Sammy, it's just a bit OTT for a Bromsgrove school prom!!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
