My 2 teenage daughters (tall & adult size 12 ) are both going to a formal in 3 weeks. Anyone any suggestions of where to look for dresses that aren't going to cost a fortune.....
TK Maxx will be first port of call....Does anyone know if Monsoon's sale shop (beside Primark) closed down completely or has it just changed location ?
We live in Belfast and distance is not really an issue, but will probably get lost if I have to go further than Newry,Antrim,Banbridge or Bangor.
Thanks

Have you looked in Tesco, I know they often stock formal dresses at this time of year.

Monsoon sale shop has closed down, although signs say it has relocated to VIctoria Square, but this isnt the sale shop, its just their (very lovely) full price shop!

I recommend TK Maxx though - they have lovely stuff - there is a new one in the old Donegall Arcade where Bewleys cafe used to be - enter it via the High Street/HMV/Dixons entrance or at the back where Ann Summers is (how did I know that was there :o LOL!!)
Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T

We hire them! Bridget Clarke in Bangor has a lovely selection... £50 for the night and she supplies bag, accessories wraps etc. Considering it'll probably never be worn again I think it works well and the dresses cost a lot more than you'd want to pay. I've had to supply dresses for my 3 daughters this year too! Phone: 0208 9146 8649. You make an hour appointment (it's a private house) to try a few on and she's a lovely lady too.
