Selling old CD's and singles

Hello all,
I have recently moved out of home and in with my fella. I have a bucket load of old Cd's- both albulms and singles that I'd really like to sell and make some much needed money!. I was wondering if anyone had any bright ideas about how I could go about making some money out of them, apart from the usual car boot sale idea?
Would appreciate any ideas that you have, cheers xx :j

ebay them, amazon, playtrade and also try musicmagpie but they pay very little for most of your cds.0

E-Bay is definetly the way to go, Especially if you have picture discs , limited editions, 12"singles etc.
Someone usually wants popular artists, unless of course your collection is made up of Black Lace and The Tweets.:rotfl:0 -
Ebay is not the way to go to sell cds, their fees are more than what you would expect to sell a cd for.
Additionally, you are not allowed to add P&P to the price on cds and dvds meaning you will probably be selling at a loss by the time you've factored in fees + postage.
To be honest the best way to sell cds and dvds now would be at a car boot sale.0 -
Music Magpie don't take cd singles. Most of the cd albums were quoted as 30p. For 30 PS2 games and albums I was quoted £26.31, not sure if it's worth it. I don't like the fact that if they deem your cds/dvds/games unaccpetable they keep them and you don't get them back. Mine's are fine but that still bugs me.
I have hundreds of cd singles to sell, I was thinking ebay but is it wise to sell them seperatly or as 1 job lot?
I have 2 Oasis limited edition gold and silver Benson & Hedges Boxed Edition Cd singles and not sure where to sell them either.0 -

I've sold quite a few old CD's on Amazon and Play at a profit, I disagree that a car boot is the only place to sell them.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -

Sell the ps2 games to Speedsell.com or Tradeyourstuff.co.uk - they usually do better trade-in values than magpie - not sure about your cds though - local cash converters maybe?0 -
set up an account with ebid.uk, with certain accounts they charge you nothing in fees for selling, just may take some time to sell all of them as business is not as quick as ebayCambridgeshire Based Photographer
Positive thinking will get you everywhere0 -
I would say its not worth listing them on ebid. I've tried that site before and didn't sell anything at all. it gets not traffic compared to ebay. Even on their home page they have an ebay ad banner!:j30/7/10:j
