Can I reclaim credit card charges whilst on a DMP?

Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place.
I have been on a DMP for nearly 3 years, and have only just plucked up the courage to dig out all my old credit card statements. They go as far back as 2002 and the amount of overlimit fees and late payment fees on them has made me determined to reclaim them.
Can I do this even though I am on a DMP? Also, if I have all the card statements anyway, can I just work out how much was paid and make a claim for that amount?
Any advice would be appreciated,

Yes, if the charges are unfair, then reclaim them, it will help pay off your debt.LBM 26th April 2009 Debts at LBM £7777.49:eek:

In fact you are more likely to get them without waiting for the court rulings if you state you are suffering hardship, hence the DMP.unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].

Thanks, just recently had a review with CCCS and it will take 41 years to pay all our debts, so any small amounts towards it would be a huge help!LBM April 2006-19 creditors, £47,000, After 2 yrs £50,000 After 3yrs £45,373 DFW long haul supporters #101 Reclaimed: Halifax -£1566 & £448 PPI, Marbles/HFC -£200, Barclays -£409, Morgan Stanley -£129 + £933 PPI, Cap 1 -£493, Argos -£120. Definately put in a claim. Credit card charges are not part of the ongoing court case so you should be delayed by that.
Only thing about reclaiming the charges is that you won't physically get any of the money unless it is for a creditor that you don't owe anything to. They usually just allocate the money to the outstanding balance.
Don't forget to add interest either. (compound)After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

) can I only claim back 6 years? The statements I have go back to 2001/2 with charges all over the place....

Are you in Scotland or England?
In Scotland, it's supposed to be 5 years, but some argue as the charges are unlawful the full 20 years should apply.
If you're in England, then yes, it's only 6 years you can reclaim for.
Might be worth charging them interest at the same rate they were charging you. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

thanks GeorgeUK, I have given myself a headache with all this!! There's credit card charges to reclaim and PPI to reclaim, I have piles of statements all over my lounge!!! I just don't know where to start first, I feel like I am drowning in it all!!
I so wish I had started this 3 years ago when we started our DMP, but my mental health was at an all time low and I could never have contemplated fighting for anything. Today I am like a dog with a bone!!!!
