I've done a search but can't find this fish mentioned?
I bought some from Mr. M's because it was cheap I'm not really sure what to do with it?
I'm doing stuffed courgettes, a recipe I found here
http://www.recipes4us.co.uk/VegetarianMC/cheese_stuffed_courgettes_v_h_50.htm
Think I can just poach the fish in some milk and butter?
We haven't got tartare sauce and no mayo (or gherkin) to make any.

Hi Barneysmom,
I would wrap it in tin foil, add a knob of butter and a couple of slices of lemon (or some lemon juice if you don't have a lemon) season with black pepper. Seal the foil and cook it in a moderate oven for 20 mins to half an hour.
The courgettes look lovely!

Hi, I bought a load of pouting because it was really really cheap as well. Because the fillets are so thin they don't take very long to cook at all so I made a tomato-y thyme-y sauce in the frying pan, placed fillets on top, covered the pan and just kinda steamed them for a few mins - they cook so quickly - taken from this recipe on BBC Good Food
Phooey it won't let me post the link as I'm a new user - sure you'd find it if you searched BBC Good Food 'cod' - very nom :T0 -
Oooh now I'm confused! I don't know which one to have, buttery lemony or tomatoey thymey - I want them both
:T:T
Whichever one I do, I'll want to other one aswell. Thanks for your help.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
