A rant!

People, dont you just hate them ;)

To cut a long story short I have lent people (friends) who claim they were absolutly broke just shy of £500 in one month. Now I am as broke as broke can be, so much so, for the first time i have had to borrow a few tenners from the parents to get me to next payday.

When I realised how broke i was, instead of conserving the money I had, i foolishly went to the chip shop and got a meal I didnt even eat much off. My bad mistake.

However these people that claim they are now skint are going out for a meal and the other set is buying an aquarium with my money and there has been no mention of payback. It just annoys me that I have in effect skinted myself to allow other people to have a good time as I genuinly thought they were skint!

Whoever said neither a lender nor a borrower be was bang on the money!

Oh dear!!! Have they mentioned when they are going to pay it back? I know its awkward to bring up, but if you are that broke that you are struggling to buy food & just get by, then you need to be honest with them & ask when they are going to repay it.

I think it was very kind of you to do so, but if you read Scottishspendaholic's recent thread about what people mean when they say they are skint, you will see that everyone has different ideas!!

I have to agree about money coming between friends (or family!!).

I hope you get yours back.

    xx
