Hello nettles - what size is your dish please? Do you want pastry, just thinking you could do biscuit base - crush ginger nuts (or anything else you have) add melted butter and make a base this way too.
This should take you to Delia's site re making pastry

This is the one I use and it makes a lovely, light, melt in the mouth sweet pastry.

3 1/2 oz Self Raising flour
1 oz Cornflour
4 oz butter/marg

1 egg yolk

Hi guys ...
The baking is going really well so I'm gonna have a go at some lemon tarts (boys fave)
Would I make a sweet pastry and if so do I make my normal pastry (half fat to flour) then add some sugar ?
Do I brush the top rim of the tart with egg?
And last one is ... How long would they last ??
Thanks a million guys .... You are really helping me save money and eat ALOT better

I saw a really easy recipe for sweet pastry and I am almost sure that an ounce of flour was replaced with an ounce of icing sugar and one egg added. then normal amount of butter. sounds like this would work nicely to me.0
