Discount Project club

I received an email, allegedly refered from a friend, for discount club called discountproject.co.uk. It appears to be a discount club where the shops you buy from send a cashback to the discount project club, where you can then withdrawl it. i am wary of giving them my bank details!
Does anyone know if this is genuine or not?
