It seems likely that I will be going to Bangor in the not too distant future for the weekend with a number of friends.

Is the town a good place to visit and socialise within, are there any good activities during the daytime and is the night life good?

Thanks in advance.

Bangor has plenty to do and see. All the usual shops. There is the Marina and lots of nice walks from marina to ballyholme direction or crawfordsburn. Fun fair for kids starts end of may every year. Quite a few nice restrautants and cafes too.

The night life is probably fantastic if you are under 30 and like clubs, there are plenty to choose from and loads of people ... not my scene but plenty of other enjoy it.

    Thanks for all the responses.

Its going to be a boys weekend, we are in our mid twenties and we want to sample some of Bangor's culture night life.

What would people recommend to do and where to go during the day and at night?

    Thanks again.

Eddie Irvine's Karting for during the daytime and High Street for nightime.
Maybe Betty Blacks, but I think you sound more Donegans or Jenny Watts type of people. Also disco at Marine Court Hotel might suit.

Thanks for that, is there a good mix of gender that go to the places you mentioned, I really want to avoid nightclubs that are all male.

Incidentally believe that Bangor's nightlife ends between 00:30 and 01:00, is this correct?
