I've just had all the info through from them. If you want a copy, pm me and i'll e mail them to you (hope that's allowed?)

We're going to go see it tonight so I'll take some pics and can send you those as well.

Update on this for anyone interested. It isn't actually a £999 wedding. You HAVE to pay an additional £500 for the ceremony, this is not included in the price

Bucks fizz is provided for the first 30 guests, you have to pay for ALL the remaining guests to have one (which I know you would anyway) Wine is not included with the meal, drinks packages are from £17 per person or corkage at £8.50 per bottle. You must cater your buffet to ALL evening guests (not half or 2 thirds as is usually done) and children get no concessions for the buffet price of £14 and have to be catered for.

The sit down meal is decided by the venue, you have no say in it. It consists of soup, a chicken dish and cheescake for dessert. Children under 12 go half price (so £9) and children under 5 are £8

I've just worked out that with all the little extras that you have to pay for, it's close to £60 a head unless you stick with the 30 free guests. This actually works out at only £8 less a head than our original venue.

All in all, this is a great package for a wedding of 30 guests, but add many more and it doesn't work out cheap at all.

Having said that, the Bristol Holiday Inn is a beautiful venue, the function suite is great and they do have fab facilities. I didn't take any pictures sadly as we didn't go outside the back we just looked out the windows and the front of the hotel is ugly as sin! :rotfl: You'd only see it once on the way in though.

Hope this is useful information to people.

Just wanted to say Britannia Hotels also do a very similar offer, I'm getting married there on the 2nd July.

The offers have been around for a while and I am sure there is another hotel doing a similiar offer, if you search the forum there is a thread dedicated to the deals.

The Plymouth One is still doing it but it's not so good value. They do a meal for 40 people but then you don't get an evening buffet (the idea is you have dinner for 6pm and then go straight into a disco).

We are having ours at our Holiday Inn (as the views are just amazing) but we're paying full price. Lol.
