Good luck - Education shop is about the best bet.

Offers on Mac key are few and far between, which stinks given the level of price control... Can't think of a single retailer who sells Apple kit much under list price.

There's pretty much no such thing, however if you know someone in education they could buy it for you educ discount is approx. 8% for non-University and 15% for University.

Some did get 30% off a Mac last week at Littlewoods but that's past now.

Well, don't do to Apple, (unless your company has a vat-code for them) apparently they are famous for not doing discounts! Try sellers of apple products instead.

Best thing to do is look on the Apple refurb and clearance, section of their own website. If you're not bothered about getting the absolute latest version of the hardware, there are usually some pretty good deals.

If you have to pay full price get it from John Lewis as you get an extra year's warranty for free.

I would like to add my question as well. I am looking to buy an iMac but am a little tight with money. I am thinking if I should wait for my girlfriend to go to Uni this year to get a discount but am not able to log in to the edu shop without actualy beeing on Uni. please advise what is the price diffrence and if they are offering discount+ partial payments or just one or the other
    Thanks

The HE discount is roughly 14% so that's a fair sum. At the moment Apple are also offering interest free over 10 months for purchases over £500. HTH
