How to get yourself an Amazon refund or voucher

Hi.

The last couple of times I've ordered from Amazon I've noticed that they didn't do too well getting their deliveries out promptly. (no doubt it's the Christmas rush and I'm sure they're happy to have the business) Even though everything I've ordered has been 'usually dispatched within 24 hrs' I've kept an eye on the status and noticed that they've got stuck for a couple of days at:

"We are preparing these items for dispatch and this part of your order cannot be cancelled or changed...."

I've complained twice now, the first time I was given £4.50 off the delivery charge and the second time (when delivery was free) they sent me a £5 voucher.

Definitely worth a quick moan if anyone has orders stuck at the same point..

Lucky you! I had the same problem with mine and a complaint email got a sorry, its on its way - which was a lie coz I only go the dispatch email yesterday!

I must have been lucky..

Just shows how it's worth taking 5 minutes to complain though - that's assuming you can find the link to send a complaint of course, took me ages!

I'm not impressed with amazon but glad that someone has got money out of them.

Ordered an £804 laptop (Christmas present) from them on 25th November with a dispatch date of 10th - 14th December and delivery on 15th - 21st December. When the item was still marked as not dispatched on 15th December I phoned them up only to be told that the laptop was discontinued.

After nearly three weeks they only told me that the order could not be fulfilled when I phoned them up !!
I complained of course and have just received an emailed apology from one of their Indian customer care people - no compensation - really poor service.

You could try a 'that's not good enogh, I've missed out on other speacial offers waiting for you..' and keep going until they throw vouchers at you?

My complaint email included the fact that a birthday present was late coz of them and that didn't bother them at all.

How do you complain, I cant find anywhere where there is a contact icon. It says mine should have been here by the 13th and it is now the 17!! Getting worried now.

Click on 'contact us' right at the bottom of the screen, choose 'order & delivery questions' then look down the screen for 'if these links don't answer your question..' and click on 'contact us'

I may have got a voucher but my order doesn't seem to be any closer to being posted..

I ordered the sim urbz and on the 4th.. never got it.. monday they refunded me cos they cant send it out before xmas.. i got the refund.. and today I got the item.. i emailed them and they said keep it and merry xmas so that saved me 30 pounds!

amazon are good..
