It was relatively easy and I think will look Absolutely fab in DD's room.
The hardest bit was binding the edges, well that was easy too once I realised how to do it. It's also really really MS as one of these in the shops would be well over £40 squid

That is really beautiful, your daughter will love it and treasure it forever. I am always in awe of people who can do patchwork as good as that, best I ever did was a pin cushion. Clever you and well done :T:T:T

That is gorgeous! Maybe one day I'll get a sewing machine ...
I've gone to buy one before, but just got really intimidated by the choice.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

That's beautiful - oh if only I had the patience.

I remember knitting a load of squares some years back sewing them all up (double bed size) and I'd done it in shades of beige/brown -colour was all the rage at the time - but by the time I'd done it I was bored with it and gave it away...............now I wish I'd kept it

Don't start me on unfinished projects. I started a hexagonal quilt once and I still have the bits to show for it. The material was from off cuts at a curtain shop and it looked horrible. I will post a pic of it one day.

The square quilting is terribly easy, especially if you get a proper cutter. You literally cut squares and sew within a centimetre.

    Thank you anyway.

Wow - making a patchwork quilt is on my list of 'things to do this year' and seeing this has inspired me to start it soon.
