    I think it's Leonardo da Vinci, which would seem logical from the book? Although wikipedia gives a whole list of other grand masters?

    I'm sorry but I don't think this is the right answer (sorry but I only just noticed the answer on this thread)

    In the book and film Jacques Saunière is the Grand Master and the whole story is set around trying to solve the clue's he left for his Granddaughter and Robert Langdon about the secret he kept, so wouldn't the answer be him?

    I tend to agree with Munchkim, Leonardo Da Vinci was allegedly one of the grandmasters, but I am pretty sure that's not the answer they're looking for.

    They could've phrased the question better, it is slightly ambivalent.

    I'm going to put Jacques Saunière as the answer.

    Just to add my two penneth, I think it's Jacques Sauniere too- although I agree that the question could do with being a bit more specific *rolls eyes*

    Hi all, sorry if I'm adding to the confusion, but I'm wondering if the phrasing of the question is deliberate. Doing a google search I came up with this;

    "the "prieure" documents suggest that during this time it had some fairly august leadership: Leonardo da Vinci, Nicholas Flamel, Rene D' Anjou, and Sandro Filipepi (better known as Botticelli)"

    the phrasing "better known as Botticelli" came up several times in my search. I've neither read the books nor seen the movie though, so don't know if this adds up to an answer given the wierd phrasing of the question? :confused:

    First time I discovered that Nicholas Flamel was an historical personage though, thought he was a just a Harry Potter character :D

    Hi mithras, it's Sandro Filipepi who's better known as Botticelli not the Grand Master.

    There have been many grand masters through the years but because this is giving away the dvd, i believe it's the Grand Master that the book and DVD are about who is the correct answer but thats just my opinion :)

    Okay, thanks, I wasn't sure, it was just the wording of the question that got me, thought they might be being deliberately tricky :)
