Lol well I was going to count it as household expenditure so it would still count then! But if I can make him pay and not count it that sounds a good idea even if it does feel like cheating.... He's gone to buy a lawnmower while out as well but it's coming from a "windfall" he received. So do I count this? We won't be taking money from the joint account to pay for it... bit confused about the rules!0

If you manage to resist I salute you, you are a far stronger person than I:rotfl:
charliedavis the idea is you set your own budget and you decide what to include. Most people on here include any 'silly' spends not part of another budget eg. groceries, toiletries etc.So for me milk and bread are not part of the budget but buying lunch at work or a chocolate bar would be.
Really it is up to you but if you have the money saved up for the item then I would not count it as part of your weekly spends.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

OMG, I'm purple! :j :j :j £0 spent last week. :j Which will never happen again, I can assure you.

It's going to be more of an expensive week this week though. I need to buy £15 worth of petrol to get to my mum's on Fri and £10 worth of shopping. So put me down for £30 this week please.

Hi everyone,
I'm sooo rubbish at keeping a proper track on exactly how I've spent my money.
Earlier in the week I spent £20.52 on groceries at Asda, and on Friday I spent £8.61 on drinks and snacks. Leaving me with a grand total of 87p.
I'll go for £20 this week. Hopefully it will be a relaxing one after the bank holidays.
I second the good look for you pointypenguin. I was in the same position last year and remember vividly how stressful things can get. But the work and effort you put in is always worth it in the end.
Have a good week all!Looking forward to the future.0 -
