CSA just dont have a clue

Back in january my hubbie (soon to be ex) Decided he didnt want his money spent on bills anymore so he went, moved out.

January/early feb the job centre Plus contacted CSA for me, they rang me and said they'd start a claim through them. So I waited, mid feb my ex told me they'd rang him asked if the info i gave is correct and thats it.

I rang begining of April wondering when im going to get the childrens money, they didnt have me on file or anything, I've had to start a whole new claim! Told I wont get back pay or anything.

I rang mid April - Told me they'd got his Wage slips and a letter is on its way to both of us. Also offered to look into the 3 months of missing claims and may comp me.

Rang a week ago - Letter hasnt been sent yet, and they havent looked into them 3 months and probably wont.

What is wrong with them? They have ALL the info possible.

Any idea's on what to do?

Also he is giving them lots of lies, he claims he has both 2 nights a week when really his mum has them pretty much 90% of the time he has access (They are 2 and 3) and when he does have them he's left them with his sister and gone out and got drunk. But he's got a solicitor against me about access because I refused to let him do the above. I feel backed in a corner by the git.
He's also telling CSA he's working 20 hours a week (which is in the contract he signed BUT he works over 40, they just havent changed his contract) but they take his word about everything and ignore me.

Also if someone can help, at the moment I am on Income support untill my children are in full time, Ive been told they will pretty much take every penny off me anyway? Is this true.

On the phone CSA said my Ex will have to give me the money himself (when I asked them not to) but he says they told him it'll come out of his wage.

So if he's giving it to me direct what % will they take from income support?

don't quote me on this but i have read on other threads that if you are on IS you will only get around £20 on top of your IS. if you get it direct from him they will deduct from your IS, if you get a high CS payment you may not get any IS.
someone may be better able to answer later good luck in getting things sorted.
    and if i'm wrong sorry

Thanks for that, its such a pitty though :( but it'll be good when I start back at work :D

From what Ive worked out I should be getting £34 Per week (he thinks £6 is enough)

But on his low 15-20hrs made up wage its about £7.50

Well if you get the £34 you will only lose £14 IS or if his rubbish £7.50 dose go through i assume you would get that without it affecting IS. not much but better than nothing i suppose.

    Hi

Effectivly as you are on IS most ot the money that he will pay will be taken to pay that. You may get the £20 though if his wage is that low as in that he only works 20 hours a week by his contract, you may not even get that, and the £6 is doubtful as well.

Whilst his contract may say 20 hours per week, it is his payslips which matter as they look at what has actualy been worked.

AS long as it is not more than 48 hours but we will not start down that road again.

Most people will find that their employers at this time are only letting people work to their contract, so as I say if he works to his contract it will be 20 hours and that will be shown on his payslips, yes!:)
